Luau Birthday Party Supplies
Burgers and Dogs at a Luau .. weird?
It’s a 75th birthday party for my grandmother. The invitations were sent, the menu has been planned. The theme was applied last minute. We will supply the grass skirts, lei’s, tropical drinks, etc. but my mother does not want to change her menu. How weird will it be to serve regular BBQ style food at a Luau themed party? I do plan on making a few Hawaiin style side dishes to go with her traditional bbq food, but if you were a guest, would it come off as strange to you that we are not roating a pig, etc…? Just looking for some outside opinion. Thanks!
I think it would be strange but you might be able to salvage part of it by making a teriyaki
