First Birthday Party Supplies For Girls
Am I seriously the only one that does this?
Yesterday, my girls had a “birthday party” for their teddy. My daughter had me bake her some cupcakes. Then I let them use some left over party supplies from previous parties that I keep in a box. They decorated our front porch. A little girl from the neighborhood came to play with them oops I mean celebrate with them. They were having such a good time and my daughters were actually getting along for the first time!! After a while the little girls grandma came to get her and asked them what they were doing, once they told her she looked at me and asked “did you seriously bake cupcakes for their stuffed animals?” when I said umm yeah she said “I don’t know who is crazier the kids for throwing their toys a party or you for letting them get away with this.” I was just like none of us, everyone does this. She said nope and walked away.
Now I’m sitting here thinking I’m a weirdo and asking myself hmmm am I really the only one?!? :S
OMG – that’s so cute!! I LOVE to encourage children to use their imaginations – way to go! No you’re not crazy, but the grandma is a big ol’ stick in the mud!
